Ayoka Charity Shop

In June 2010, St Margaret's House took over the management of the neighbouring charity shop 'Ikosi'. After a month of cleaning, scrubbing, painting, tidying and redecorating it re-opened its doors in July 2010 as the 'Ayoka Charity Shop'; a fashion conscious charity shop, selling quality second hand and vintage clothing as well as books, records and cds. Since its re-launch the shop is proving to be extremely successful and we have many plans for its future development. The shop is staffed entirely by volunteers and it continues to raise much needed funds for St Margaret's House and the work which we do within the local community.

Volunteering at Ayoka

We are extremely grateful for the efforts of our hard working volunteers who we rely on for the day to day running of the shop. We offer many opportunities for volunteers to get involved with the shop, from serving customers, organising stock and sourcing second hand vintage clothes to office based roles such as marketing, promotion and blogging. If you are interested in volunteering at Ayoka, contact our volunteer coordinator Terri: volunteer@stmargaretshouse.org.uk .

Donations

We are always on the lookout for good quality donations to sell, in particular we are looking for vintage items, as well as bags and jewellery.
