Shahena Begum is a local artist who draws inspiration from the architecture of Tower Hamlets.

Born and raised in Bethnal Green, Shahena has been creating art in response to her community for as long as she c an remember.

Shahena plans to continue to interrogate the exploration of an everchanging community through the medium of illustration - watch this space to see how she will develop her practice!
