Community Potluck

  • St. Margaret's House 21 Old Ford Road London, England, E2 9PL United Kingdom (map)

Celebrate the end of Women’s History Month 2023 with a community potluck and creative activity hosted by SKAPED and St. Margaret’s House!

With March being Women’s History Month, the SKAPED team thought there was no better way to celebrate than participating in a Decolonising Women’s Spaces creative series. This month long programme has invited us to look at how we can approach everyday spaces such as art, literature, self-care and food with a decolonial lens. In celebration of our completion of this programme, SKAPED will be hosting a community potluck at St. Margaret’s House on the 1st of April from 7pm to 9pm! This event is open to everyone, all we ask is that you bring a dish close to your heart that you can share with us. In addition to the amazing food, we will have the opportunity for some creativity and recipe sharing in a collective zine-making activity.

This event will take place in the Hall at St. Margaret’s, where we’ll first kick off our meal around 7:40 PM (just in time to break fast together for those observing Ramadan!). Please register for a ticket here, and indicate whether you’ll be bringing along a dish. For those bringing a dish, tickets will be £2, but if you can’t bring any food, that’s okay! Still come along for a £5 ticket. There are a number of pay-what-you-can tickets because we want this event to be accessible to all.

If you’re bringing a dish, please bring along a list of ingredients

Can’t wait to share some yummy food with you all!
