  • St. Margaret's House 21 Old Ford Road London, England, E2 9PL United Kingdom (map)

Join us for the opening night of 'MATCHES: The Exhibition' by Ali "le Jeune" Febe. The exhibition features a collection of editorial illustrations, made using a specific semiotic process based on visual matches between different images. Each piece in the collection relates to an article about themes such as current affairs, psychology, society, science.

Ali "le Jeune" Febe is a Milanese communication designer, who visually translates content using different techniques and languages, from UX to illustration through motion design.

Later in the evening will be joined by the wonderful Alejandra Ribera who will be playing an intimate set in the Chapel from 7.30pm.

Alejandra Ribera cut her teeth playing a weekly residency at The Cameron House (often described as “Toronto’s CBGB’s meets the Chelsea Hotel”. Within a year she was discovered by CBC Radio who made a national broadcast of her sold-out debut concert at Hugh’s Room. Her first album garnered her Independent Song of the Year Award from SOCAN (Canada’s PRS) as well as international accolades from NPR, Les Inrocks (France), and was nominated for the German Record Critic’s Prize 2016. Her rendition of The Proclaimers ‘I’m gonna be (500 Miles)'' was featured on NBC’s “The Blacklist”.

Following the release of ‘La Boca’, Ribera toured Europe extensively, opening for longtime friend Arthur H throughout France as well as Melody Gardot at the iconic L’Olympia in Paris. Her introspective sophomore album ‘This Island’ was met with further acclaim on both sides of the pond … “It has the makings of a timeless classic” CBC. Throughout her career Ribera has shared stages with Rufus Wainwright, António Zambujo, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Ron Sexsmith, Patrick Watson and Chilly Gonzalez to name a few.

In 2021 she collaborated with Sebastien Hoog on his original songs for Cyril Dion’s environmental documentary ‘Animal’ featuring Jane Goodall. She is featured on JS William’s 2022 album ‘Twelve Circles, The Break, The Cast’.

Enjoy a drink or light bite from our delicious plant-based Aperitivo menu which will be served throughout the evening.
