WomanEwer - Self Defence Introduction Workshop

  • St. Margaret's House 21 Old Ford Road London, England, E2 9PL United Kingdom (map)

In this workshop, you will learn basic elements of self defence. Most people think of self defence as a kick to the groin or fist in the eyes of an attacker. But the actual meaning of self defence is doing everything possible to avoid fighting someone who threatens or attacks you. We aim for this introduction to be fun and empowering!

About WomanEwer:

WomanEwer is an all-female-led artistic project, that brings women of all ages and horizons together into a safe space, to explore and come to terms with their own experiences of sexual abuse through dance, theatre and healing methods. Ewer is an old word for a jug, its shape is reminiscent of the female form and extends to the idea of the container-keeper-receiver, giver and guardian of life, nourishment and stories.
