It can be hard to meet queer people in London. Introducing a brand new workshop for those who are looking for love, new friends or simply to connect with some LGBTQ+ people in a relaxed and creative setting. I'm excited to offer Speed Lino: a queer printmaking mixer taking place in The Mulberry Hall in St Margaret's House in Bethnal Green, London.
Over the two and a half hours we have together, you'll learn how to carve a simple linocut print, whilst meet a range of new people. They'll be a chance for 1:1 chats, collaborative printmaking and getting to know the whole group. You'll leave with your own print, some collective artwork and hopefully a few new connections.
This session will be open for up to 16 people, thus providing a friendly atmosphere, where guidance and support can take place.
This workshop is open to total beginners and also to people who would like to develop their lino-printing skills.
Prices are on a pay what you can scale and will include all resources, plus you'll get to take your prints home.
I'm really looking forward to bringing a group of queer people together as a chance to get creative and make new connections.
If you have access requirements you would like me to know about before the workshop, please email Gemma by November 17th at wildwaterartstore@gmail.com.
