This free 6 -week sewing course is for Bangladeshi women interested in learning a range of key skills to able to sew using a sewing machine. The sessions are led by a female Bengali-speaking practitioner, and sessions will be led in both English and Bengali to support all participants to learn and develop new skills. Sessions take place in the Create Place (E2 9PJ).

Dates and workshop outline for each session are as follows:

Wednesday 6th November, 10am - 1pm - General introduction to sewing machines
Wednesday 13th November, 10am - 1pm - Making hair scrunchies
Wednesday 20th November, 10am -1pm - Making a tote bag
Wednesday 27th November, 10am - 1pm
- Making a cushion cover
Wednesday 4th December, 10am - 1pm
- Making mini jewellery boxes
Wednesday 11th December, 10am - 1pm
- Making mini card holders

There are a maximum of 7 places available for this course. Due to limited capacity, participants must be able to attend at least 4 of the 6 sessions in order to take part. The sewing course is free, with all resources and materials provided, but sign-up is essential.
