DISCOVER FESTIVAL: Discover Nature Through Your Lens

  • St. Margaret's House 21 Old Ford Road London, England, E2 9PL United Kingdom (map)

In this workshop we’ll look at the work of some wonderful landscape and nature photographers to inspire us and we’ll learn more about the difference between looking and seeing, and how this can help us take amazing photos. We’ll take photos together in the garden exploring a few different image theme’s such as foliage, flowers, light, texture and colour, discussing with each other what we see , what we’ve tried to capture with our photo and what we like about each others work.

There will then be an opportunity to chose your own theme, something that resonates with you and you’d like to develop building on what you’ve learnt and talked about earlier.

We will finish back in the Garden at St Margaret's House where we will have a mini digital exhibition and talk with each other about the photo’s we ‘ve taken.

You’ll go home knowing more about what you are drawn to photograph, understanding the process of taking photos better and inspired to get out there and capture what you see!

Open to all, no experience required.

Guidance and practical help are offered.

You’ll need your phone or camera, either is fine, both is OK 📷

If it’s raining, we’ll explore the St Margaret's House Building instead!
