DETOUR
As the nights lengthen and shadows deepen join printmakers Anna Dyke and Jane O'Sullivan for Detour, an exhibition inspired by the iconic visual language of Film Noir.
This show pays homage to the inky monochrome and intense atmosphere of classic noir cinema. Jane explores the genre with prints made using simple, everyday materials - card, tetra pak, plywood - evoking the claustrophobic tension of noir's urban settings and morally ambiguous characters. Anna expands the mood with painted ceramic tiles and pots, alongside prints and drawings that capture the menace, melodrama and glamour of the era. Take a detour into a world of fate, frantic phonecalls and fallen angels, as we celebrate Noirvember’s dark allure.
