WORKSHOP: Exploring Identity: Collage Making

  • The Create Place 29 Old Ford Road London, England, E2 9PJ United Kingdom (map)

Exploring Identity Through Collage Making is a workshop providing an inclusive space for young people and adults to play and explore their understanding of gender and identity through artistic creation.

By engaging in creative processes, the workshop aims to empower you to embrace your individuality while fostering a sense of community.

This workshop integrates art-making into a holistic practice, empowering you to discover your unique voice, delve into self-expression, and explore diverse approaches to understanding identity. The goal is to help you develop a positive sense of self, regardless of your artistic background or perceived 'talent.'

You'll be prompted to analyse your artistic creations, encouraged to explore reflections embedded in your work. This phase aims to promote emotional awareness and contribute positively to the well-being of each young/adult person by providing a holistic outlet for expression.

The focus of this workshop extends to creating a supportive environment for you to explore your identities. By encouraging open discussions and shared artistic expressions, this space seeks to foster understanding and solidarity among the group, creating a foundation for empathy and inclusivity.
