Lost Art of a Little Earthling – An exhibition curated by Muddy Mud Larks - A forgotten space pregnant with possibilities, a place for introspection, a place to consider, “What is there here for me to do?”
“Lost Art of a Little Earthling” is an exhibition characterised by vague and unfamiliar terms: earthy, primordial, dark and strange. Through elaborate tales of woe and wonder, we return to a lost and primitive world, where clods of dirt and pebbles are treasured, and residual dreams of youth float to surface. Our artists sketch a passing shadow, before it bobs off, into the dying sun, over the momentary horizon because, after all, did it ever happen?
This is the mood you find us - here today. Why not dwell together in this moment, survived by our artworks. Tomorrow there will be another exhibition. And we will be changed, a different and unknown theme. More forgotten memories to be untangled, rest assured.
About Us: Muddy Mudlarks is a collective of artist-curators with a goal of gathering like-minded individuals interested in poetic interpretations of topics related to mudlarking, urban foraging, and the untamed wilderness. We hope to provide artists with similar interests a platform to express, share and inspire others to care for their immediate surroundings. Most importantly, we aspire to instil a sense of momentary peacefulness, a space in time to relax and reflect through our exhibitions.
