WHAT WE NOTICE is a collaborative art exhibition from the Looking at Everyday Life Workshop series, run by artists Babette Van Gerwen and Will Kennedy.
Through these community-focused workshops, people came together to connect with their environment through writing, drawing and painting.
Themes like trees, water, space and home were explored, showing the many ways nature seeps into our memories and subconscious, allowing us to collectively contemplate what we notice and what gives us meaning in our everyday lives. The playful array of artwork on display celebrates what was created during the series and invites you to contemplate alongside them
Venue : The Chapel, St Margaret’s House, 21 Old Ford Road, access via the pathway next to The Gallery Cafe
Open days: Wednesdays – Sundays 12-6pm
Opening Day Event: 19th May, 12 - 6pm. Celebrate the opening of the show with us, and have the opportunity to respond to the work on display through a drop-in drawing session.
Closing Party: We invite everyone to the chapel at St Margaret’s house to celebrate the beginning of June and the closing of our exhibition WHAT WE NOTICE with an evening event / fundraiser for Medical Aid for Palestine. This is a nice opportunity for people to get together and listen to live music, poetry and short stories, with an open floor for anyone who wants to get involved.
