In this workshop, we will focus on deconstructing colonial narratives and reclaiming cultural identity. Using accordion zines, we will explore cultural fusion, family secrets and forgotten stories. This workshop delves into our journeys of reclaiming our cultural identity and heritage. We'll dive into the rich histories of our food, storytelling, dress, language and every aspect that creates our culture. This is your space to experiment, brainstorm, and create unique pieces that express your identity and history. No prior artistic experience is necessary – just bring your passion and your creative juices. Make art, fight injustice xx We particularly welcome participants from the global majority. This workshop is designed for participants aged 18+ Please note: Our workshops explore sensitive topics. While not a replacement for therapy, they provide a supportive and encouraging space to express feelings, learn, and heal together. We encourage participants to prioritise their well-being and take a moment if needed during the workshop. Follow us on Instagram for announcements on our next workshops and events @DecolonArt
