Groove Sessions
Groove Sessions - learn music production as a community
Come together to learn to express your inner musician! In these sessions you'll be working closely with producer and artist Dhruv Nathwani to learn about music production, creative praxis and how to turn your ideas into sound. In small group sessions, we will go through the basics of making music using a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), mixing, mastering, using creative effects and more. Session by session, we will also work together to learn about the importance of collaboration and experimentation within music to allow you to really hone in and find your own sound - whether that’s within music, sound arts or even just having fun, there is no limit on where we can go.
These workshops are focused on working with POC, Queer and Neurodivergent people because we want to offer equal opportunity to those who are often denied access to expressing creativity. Come and join the groove community!
Venue: The Create Place, 29 Old Ford Road, E2 9PJ
Access: If you have any access needs of which we should be aware, please let us know. Entry to The Create Place is step-free but the toilet is not accessible. If you need access to an accessible toilet, please let us know so we can arrange that.

✴️ Pay More (covers all of our costs and supports our work at SMH) – I am employed or have enough savings to comfortably meet my basic needs - £20
