DISCOVER FESTIVAL: Cranbrook Community Food Garden

  • Cranbrook Community Food Garden Mace Street London, England, E2 United Kingdom (map)

We are partnering with Cranbrook Community Food Garden, a fantastic and vibrant community garden in Bethnal Green, to offer the opportunity to take part in a garden volunteer taster session during our Discover Festival activities.

Cranbrook Community Food Garden was established in 2009 by local residents, transforming a disused children's play area into a communal growing site for fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers. 15 fabulous years later, the site now contains 18 raised beds, a mini food forest, a shed, greenhouse, compost bays, wormeries, a pergola with a green roof, a frog pond, bird spa and bee mound.

We have a limited number of spaces available for people to take part in this taster session on Tuesday 16th July from 2-4pm. We particularly welcome people who do not currently have access to a garden, and who feel their wellbeing may be supported by access to a garden space.

To take part, email Laura, Arts and Wellbeing Producer or text Laura at laura@stmargaretshouse.org.uk or 07918595442, with your name, phone number, and postcode. Spaces are limited, so please do get in touch if you’d like to attend!
